National Science Foundation updated proposal guidelines
From: Office of Sponsored Programs, OVPRI
The National Science Foundation (NSF) has released its revised version of the NSF Proposal & Award Policies & Procedures Guide (PAPPG) (NSF 20-1). The new PAPPG will be effective for proposals submitted or due, and awards made, on or after June 1, 2020.
The most significant impact will be for faculty submitting proposals. Effective with the new guidance all biographical sketches and current and pending support documents must be submitted in the NSF-approve format. NSF is partnering with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to use SciENcv: Science Experts Network Curriculum Vitae as the NSF-approved format for preparation of both documents.
Please refer to the OSP webpage for additional information. It is important to continue to check this page for any updates as NSF continues to dissemination information about this change.
It is critical that you share this information with your faculty who will be submitting NSF proposals. If they do not use the NSF-approved format for these two documents, they will receive error messages and the proposals cannot be submitted.
If you have questions please contact your assigned pre-award associate.
