New parking options on Blacksburg campus for Thanksgiving through mid-January 2021

To enhance parking opportunities for commuter and graduate students planning to access the Blacksburg campus between Thanksgiving and Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Jan. 18, 2021, Parking Services is offering the following new low-cost parking options. Parking will continue to be enforced Monday – Friday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on the Blacksburg campus.

  • Option 1: $30 for a Commuter/Graduate C/G permit, good from Nov. 16 – Dec. 31, 2020.  Along with access to C/G spaces, this permit will also offer access to the PC Perry Street Garage and lots. Purchase online.
  • Option 2: $60 for a Commuter/Graduate C/G permit, good from Nov. 16 – Jan. 15, 2021. Along with access to C/G spaces, this permit will also offer access to the PC Perry Street Garage and lots. Purchase online.
  • Option 3: $169 for a Commuter/Graduate C/G permit Spring permit. This permit will go on sale Dec. 1 and will be good from the date of purchase until August 31, 2021. This permit will give you access to the PC Perry Street Garage and lots areas until Jan. 15, 2021. Purchase online.
  • Perry Street: If you would rather park in the Perry Street area, for Commuter/Graduates with a current C/G permit, your permit will offer access to the PC Perry Street Garage and lots from Nov. 16 – Jan. 15, 2021.  After Jan. 15, you will need to park in C/G spaces on campus.

Additional parking options:

  • Daily parking pass: Those without a permit can purchase a daily permit for $6 online during this period.
  • Parkmobile app: University members without a parking permit will soon have a convenient new way to purchase parking on the Blacksburg campus via the Parkmobile app. Parking may be purchased in multiple time increments. Keep an eye out in the coming weeks in VT News and on Parking Services’ website for the latest updates.
