Limited spots left in Business of Brewing workshop

From: Virginia Tech Roanoke Center

The Virginia Tech Roanoke Center is hosting its third annual Business of Brewing workshop. With the continued growth of craft beer interest in the state, this course offers instruction and guidance on turning a passion for brewing into a successful business.

Only 15 participants are accepted for the Business of Brewing workshop in order to create an intimate environment for this five-day class. Brewers, entrepreneurs and connoisseurs who wish to understand the essentials of opening a craft brewery are welcome to attend.

Taught by successful brewers and owners – as well as business professionals – each day will take participants deeper into the process of opening, operating, owning and growing a successful craft brewery. They will learn about financing, marketing, distribution, quality control, trademarking, licensing and more. Participants will find valuable resources and relationships.

The workshop will be held at the Hotel Roanoke and Conference Center, Jan. 27-31 1, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, with brewery visits and craft brew tastings highlighting the week. Business of Brewing is brought to you by The Virginia Tech Roanoke Center in partnership with Star City Brewers Guild, Chaos Mountain, Twin Creeks Brewing Company, Virginia Eagle Distributing, Parkway Brewing Company, Big Lick Brewin Company, A Few Old Goats Brewing and Carter Bank & Trust. It is sponsored by Appalachian Hub, Devils Backbone Brewing Company and Gentry Locke Attorneys.
