New podcast highlights university-certified small, woman-owned and minority-owned businesses
From: Virginia Tech Procurement
Virginia Tech Procurement has launched a new podcast series of interviews with leaders from small, woman-owned and minority-owned (SWaM) businesses that are certified with the university.
The SupplierReady! podcast’s goal is to create greater awareness of the types of SWaM businesses certified at Virginia Tech and the goods or services they provide to the university. Each episode includes an interview between host Daysha Holmes, assistant director for supplier opportunity, and a leader from the selected business. Episodes are released weekly and run approximately 15 minutes.
The podcast is a key initiative of Virginia Tech’s Supplier Opportunity Program, which seeks to build the university’s engagement with and utilization of certified SWaM businesses. Growth in SWaM procurement utilization is also embedded as a key milestone in The Virginia Tech Difference: Advancing Beyond Boundaries.
