Northern Virginia drivers wanted for research study

The Virginia Tech Transportation Institute (VTTI) is seeking individuals in the Northern Virginia region to drive an automated research vehicle for a new study. Volunteers will be asked to drive the vehicle during peak traffic hours on a pre-determined route on public roads in the Fairfax, Virginia, area.
To qualify, participants must:
· Be 30 to 75 years of age
· Have a valid U.S. driver’s license
· Drive on I-66 or a similar roadway in Northern Va. on a regular basis
· Use a smartphone regularly (not while driving)
Estimated participation time consists of one day-time session lasting approximately three hours. The research project provides compensation of $120 for full participation. Participant data will be kept strictly confidential.
